Event Type: Mixed Classes

Classes: Show Jumping, Dressage, Halter, English Pleasure, Dog Conformation, Agility, Herding

Restrictions: No fantasy breeds, all horses must be at least 4 years old unless in the Halter class. Riders 15 or older only.

It has come around to that time that where New Passage is going to host their own show. For the feel of the environment and background, New Passage is nestled close to Green Mountain, Wyoming in a little unknown town called Southern Hills. New Passage has 600+ acres of land of beautiful fields and mountains of the Wyoming west.  There will be classed for both horses and dogs.

                                                                                                             Competition Rules:
                                No pre-made line arts & no tracing
                                All horses must be 4 years old or older competing in halter
                                Riders must be 15 years old or older
                                Correct attire must be worn for classes
                                For horse classes, Riders must be shown
                                Stories are not nessecary but will earn you points
                                background are a must!!
                                This is an effort based show. Images that are very detailed and has a lot of effort
                                                      in it will score higher than an image with training images and extra pictures.
                              No fantasy breeds. Realistic breeds only. I will accept Nordanners.
                              Extra images will earn you +2pts and training images will earn you +4pts to your score.


                                                                                                   The 1st Day:

Horse Halter class: this class will be divided up into three categories: Stallion, Mare, and Foal. The halter show will be held in our outdoor arena.
The show will have a nice view of the mountains and it will be sunny with just a few dark clouds moving in. - [link]

Adult Conformation Class: Dogs ages 2 year and up can join this class. It will be held by the lake, it is still sunny. - [link]

Puppy Conformation Class: Dogs 1 year and younger will join this class. It will also be held by the lake, it is still sunny.- [link]

                                                                                                    The 2nd Day

Herding Dog Trials: Dogs will be either herding Kerry Hill Sheep ([link] or this small group of cattle (as shown here: [link] Animals do not have to be shown, but will give you points if you do draw them.) The herding trials will be held in a big wide open pasture, and it is a tad gloomy outside.

Show Jumping Class: This will be held in the same arena as the halter class was held. The weather is getting darker and you might feel a few spots. (Also, I am coming up with the jumps, andi will hopefully post them soon.)

- Break for Lunch -

Dressage Class: By this time, it is raining and the dressage show will be held in out indoor arena. It has mahogany wood, with large windows that show the Wyoming mountains in the back (arena picture here: [link]

English Pleasure Class: Will aslo be held in the indoor arena.

Dog Agility Class: This will be held at the kennels. It will be indoors and there will be concrete flooring, and white walls. The area reserved for the agility course will be fenced. (With this type of fence - [link]. I don't know what its called.)


At the end of the day there will be a big party at night by the lake. The rain has passed and Elijah and Frank will do their best grilling food for everyone. There will be red, green, and yellow lights hanging from the trees. Dogs and horse are aloud to come out and chill with the people. (as long as they are not aggressive) This is will be a fun event for everyone and we hope everyone has a lot of fun!!!

1st place in any of the classes: Will receive a ribbon, trophy, and a breeding with any horses/dogs of New Passage.
2nd place: Will receive a ribbon and a breeding with any horses/dogs of New Passage
3rd place will receive a ribbon,
Everyone will receive an Honorable Mention ribbon for participating in New Passage's Summer Fest '13
